ANGELA TUCK:

This is one of my favourite items from one of my favourite stores. As an avid follower of all things hardware and design, Gelmar gives me my fix every time. Items are unique and affordable.

This collapsible bin hangs from a drawer in my kitchen and is used to collect scraps for the compost. Best R139 I have spent in a long time.

The Agility Peak 4 shoes from Merrell are the best walking shoes I have had. It feels like you're walking on air. I heard about them from trail runners who can't stop talking about their support and grip. And the yellow-grey-orange combo is very appealing to me. They cost R2,400 at Merrell.

LAUREEN ROSSOUW:

It's life-changing: Safeway's electric hot water bag. Plug it in next to your bed or wherever you work on your computer, and 20 minutes later it's warm. It costs R169 at Clicks until June 20.

ELNA VAN DER MERWE:

The best news my dermatologist recently gave me is that sun care is affordable (after I complained to her about the price of sunscreen). She says Cetaphil and Eucerin make excellent sun protection products, and children's sunscreen often doesn't contain all the chemical additives and is often cheaper! Always choose an SPF of 50.
