Filip was a first for me, especially because of the main character's non-victim-like attitude.
Filip is a Polish Jew who disguises his identity as a waiter at a posh Berlin hotel while twirling the Germans (and their women) around his little finger.
It's enthralling and Filip, who looks like a handsome Kafka, is arrogant, street smart, sexy and fearless, and defies fate. He embodies a hero. The film is based on a true story and I cannot recommend it enough.
