Kengo Kuma's cedar-clad pavilions blend with Nabeshima Shoto Park, while Junko Kobayashi adds a playful touch with rabbit-adorned cylindrical toilets under a yellow awning. Shigeru Ban's design includes innovative opaque glass and night lighting. What a great upliftment idea for South Africa.

A fresh green salad

This speedy cucumber and edamame salad with sesame ginger dressing is a perfect lunch. Thinly sliced English or Persian cucumbers, shelled edamame, cubed avocado and sliced spring onion. It is topped with toasted sesame seeds and a sprinkling of Aleppo pepper. 

The magic lies in the dressing: avocado or grapeseed oil, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, tamari or soya sauce, freshly grated ginger and grated or minced garlic.
