WE don't have an app — because there's a much easier and more convenient way to read us on your mobile device.
Follow these easy steps to create a shortcut to the website on your phone or tablet.
Step 1: Do you still have the old app?
Remove the old app first! If you don't have the old app, go directly to Step 2.
Zap the old app:
- On most Android devices, you hold your finger down on the app until you see the “uninstall" option.
- On an iPhone, hold your finger down on the app until you see options. First “Remove App”. Then “Delete App".
Step 2: Install the shortcut
Android
- Open Chrome
- Type in vryeweekblad.com
- You see a menu in the top right-hand corner (three dots). Click on this. Then click on “Add to home screen”.
- Choose a name for your shortcut — VWB, for instance
- Hey presto! Chrome will save it to your screen like any app.
- Remember to read the edition in ENGLISH; click on the red EN button in the top right-hand corner.
iPhone or iPad
- Use Safari for this. Chrome will not work.
- Type in vryeweekblad.com
- Click on the “share” button at the bottom of your screen (the one with the block and an arrow pointing upwards).
- Then scroll down until you see the “Add to Home Screen” option.
- Click on this and choose a name for your shortcut — VWB, for instance
- And hey presto! Chrome will save it to your screen like any app.
- Remember to read the edition in ENGLISH; click on the red EN button in the top right-hand corner.
