WriterGerda Taljaard is the author of several novels, including Die laksman se dogter and Vier susters, as well as a collection of short stories, Maansiek. She was awarded the Litera and De Compagnie prizes for best short story, the kykNET-Rapport prize for most filmable book and for fiction, and the ATKV prose prize. She lives in Pretoria and works as an academic.
